The Rotary motto Service Above Self conveys the humanitarian spirit of the organization’s members. Strong fellowship among Rotarians and meaningful community and international service projects characterize Rotary worldwide. Here are a few of the Service Projects, current and past, of the Rotary Club of Seven Springs.

Joining Hands Community Mission
Rotarians and their family members volunteer at Joining Hands Community Mission during the holiday season to assist the mission in distributing food and gifts to their clients. Joining Hands Community Mission, Inc. is a faith-based social service agency and resource center that provides essential services such as food, clothing and shelter assistance to families in financial distress.

Habitat For Humanity
Rotarians and their family members volunteer to help build homes for the West Pasco Habitat for Humanity. Habitat seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. To accomplish these goals, they invite people of all backgrounds, races and religions to build houses together in partnership with families in need.

Adopt a Road
The Rotary Club of Seven Springs adopted the one-mile stretch of road outside the Seven Springs Golf & Country Club in an effort to help keep the area around the neighborhood in which we meet looking clean. Four times a year, Rotarians and their family members don bright-colored vests and hit Seven Springs Rd. as part of a program that promotes the theme of taking ownership for and keeping our community clean by “adopting” sections of roadway in Pasco County.

United Way Day of Caring
Rotarians take a day off work once a year to help United Way agencies or the people they serve with all different types of projects. We have cleaned homes, painted buildings, put up fences, made minor repairs on buildings and so much more.

Healthy Families of Pasco Hernando
Rotarians served dinner to clients of the Health Families Program at their annual graduation. Healthy Families provides free, voluntary home visiting services that increase parenting knowledge and skills. During regularly scheduled home visits, parents receive encouragement and support and learn about healthy child growth and development.

Scholarships are awarded annually to a senior at both JW Mitchell High School and River Ridge High School. Members of the club participate on the selection panels at both high schools. In addition, the Rotary Club of Seven Springs has two endowed scholarships at Pasco Hernando Community College, one in memory of Bill Van Sickle, a former club member who was dedicated to advancing education in technical training.

Mitchell High School Top 10 Banquet
Each year, The Rotary Club of Springs hosts a banquet honoring the top 10 graduating seniors at Mitchell High School. This banquet is an annual tradition and recognizes the high accomplishments of each student.
